Michael founded Old Stonehenge Development Corporation in 2009 with over 25 years of extensive experience in leasing, development and strategic planning in the real estate industry. He aimed to seek out urban mixed-use development opportunities in major Canadian cities, focusing on value creation with a retail component for each boutique project. This vision to develop boutique projects with specialty retail adds flare to downtown living.

Michael assumes dual responsibilities, heading operations at Old Stonehenge, while also acting as the Chief Investment Officer at Trinity Development Group in Toronto. Trinity is a leading edge mixed-use urban developer with over $2B in active development projects in Canada. Trinity Development has created over 25 million feet of retail space across Canada. Many of their properties represent the finest examples of mixed-use land development in the industry. Coupling a wealth of experience with innovation has produced developments that define communities, while redefining the sector as a whole. An experienced team of executives and design professionals ensure Trinity leads, going beyond expected solutions and continuing the legacy.

Michael’s experience includes 11 years at Bentall Kennedy (previously Bentall Capital) as a managing partner and Senior Vice President of Development & Leasing in their retail division. Here he was instrumental in the implementation and execution of Bentall’s retail Value-Add Fund, repositioning and developing over $400M in assets. Bentall Kennedy is one of North America’s largest real estate investment advisory and services firms, serving the interests of over 550 prominent public, multi-employer, and corporate pension funds; life insurance companies; endowments; foundations and trusts; high net worth families and sovereign wealth funds across office, retail, industrial, and multi-residential property throughout the United States and Canada. Clients include SITQ, bCIMC, CIBC, Great West Life, Deutsche Bank, Hydro Quebec, Bank of Montreal, Bank of Nova Scotia, Investors Group, Pan Canadian, Westminster Management, and ICBC.

From1996 – 2002, Michael acted as the Director of Leasing & Development and was one of the founding members of the management team at Riocan Real Estate Investment Trust. During his six years working directly for the President & COO, Michael assisted in growing the portfolio from $150M in assets to over $2 Billion in assets.
